Dr. D. Y. Patil served as the Governor of Bihar and Tripura in eastern India. He is an educationist, philanthropist and a visionary. In recognition of his contribution to the field of education, President of India honoured him with Padma Shri in 1991. He was also awarded doctorate degrees by World University Round Table, U.S.A. in 1985 and by United Kingdom in 1996.
Dr. D. Y. Patil firmly believes that socio-economic and ethical transformation of the country is only possible through appropriate & quality education from kindergarten to Post-graduation. With this mission he has established excellent academic complexes in Pune, Kolhapur and Mumbai. In these complexes, more than 50,000 students are pursuing their education in different faculties such as engineering, medicine, pharmacy, information technology, arts, science and commerce. These students are imparted education by 3000 highly qualified and motivated staff

Wg Cdr P. V. C. Patil (Retd.) is an alumnus of Karnataka Regional Engineering College, Surathkal and Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore from where he graduated in Electronics & Communication and Computer Science & Engineering respectively. He served in the Indian Air Force as a Commissioned Officer for 21 years before seeking voluntary retirement. In the Air Force he served at various locations with different weapon systems like fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, high power static surveillance radar etc.
Since his retirement from the Air Force in 1996, he is engaged in the IT field towards high end training and software development. He takes active interest in the day-to-day activities of the institute.

Dr. Bharat Chavan Patil, since his teenage years he demonstrated great interest towards education and technology. After completing his B.E. from University of Pune, he went to the U.S. to pursue his Masters (MS) in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, IL. Upon graduation, he worked in the IT sector for 5 years at different locations such as Chicago, Seattle and Milwaukee as head of QA department. He completed his PhD in Applied Sciences from DY Patil Vidyapeeth in Nov 2021.

Prof. D. R. Karnure has worked as Engineer in Koyna Hydro Electric Project from 1958 to 1960. He has teaching experience at various levels for more than 30 years and has received specialized training sponsored by UNESCO, in planning and Management of Technical Education at Singapore.
He has worked as a Member of Senate of Shivaji University, Savitribai Phule Pune University and with different Expert Committees appointed by various Universities in Maharashtra. He was a Member of S.S.C. Board, Goa; Higher Secondary Board, Goa; Education Advisory Committees appointed by various Universities in Maharashtra.

Mrs. Shweta Bharat Chavan Patil is an educationist and a visionary leader. She has completed her Masters in Business Administration degree in Human Resource Management & graduated in Business Computer Application (BCA). She has also worked in a Multi National Company (MNC) in HR sector for 5 yrs. She is currently pursuing her PhD in HR Management from Dr D Y Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune.
